#virtue100 Workouts Challenge

I challenge you to perform a total of 100 workouts in the next 35 weeks.

What would your life look like 35 weeks from now having worked out an average of three times per week? Would your waistline be smaller? Your shoulders a bit broader? Your heart rate a couple of beats lower? Would your back hurt less? Maybe all of the above! It's all possible if you're willing to put in 35 weeks worth of consistent work.

What counts as a workout? Either a resistance training session lasting 20+ minutes or a dedicated walk/run for the same amount of time.  I'd suggest getting on a dedicated training plan rather than stringing a bunch of random workouts together but, the biggest benefits come from simply doing the darn thing consistently for 35 weeks. Here are some details about the challenge you need to know before committing:

  • it's NOT 75 Hard. The point of this challenge is to build an enduring workout habit that serves you for the rest of your life not to white knuckle it for 100 days straight and then fall off the wagon.

  • You certainly can workout more than 3x per week however any extra curricular workouts each week will not count towards your weekly number.

  • A "workout" should be 20 minutes or more of dedicated training time. This can be strength, cardio, mobility, or whatever you deem appropriate and necessary for your current level of fitness.

  • To be eligible for the grand prize you will need to submit a time stamped post workout photo after every training session. These will be held in a dropbox or google drive folder that will be be submitted at the end of the challenge.

FAQ

  • Question: Is there a 100 workout challenge program that I need to follow for the entire 35 weeks or can I do another training plan?

Answer: You can do whatever workout program you'd like, random workouts, or you can follow along with my training program in the supersecret FB group, my website, or you'll be able to catch video summaries on the insta.

Question: Can I just do 100 workouts straight instead of stretch them over 35 weeks?

Answer: You can do whatever you'd like but, 100 straight workouts is not the purpose of this challenge.  Averaging three workouts per week for 35 weeks is.  If you want to do 100 straight workouts go do 75 Hard get burnt out and then come back and try the 100 workout challenge.  Unless fitness is your career, you will not be able to sustain a pace of daily strength or conditioning training.  Even if fitness was your career, it wouldn't be smart to do daily intense training anyways.  You need to recover.

Question: Do I need to follow a diet?

Answer: Short answer? No.  IF your goal is body composition related, nutrition is the most important factor in your success.  I will be helping guys with nutrition along the way if you're interested in gaining muscle and/or ditching body-fat.  Nutrition matters significantly less for getting strong and moving better.  I encourage you to eat well (obviously) but, the focus for this challenge is to get consistent with your training routine.

Question: What "counts" as a workout?

Answer: We are all starting at different levels of fitness so let's not over complicate this. You should be devoting 20+ minutes three days per week to getting stronger and healthier.  That may be as simple as a walk or dedicated mobility session or resistance training session.  It's all fair game. If it's on the calendar for 20 minutes or longer it counts as a workout.
